What is BV+?

BankVERIFY+ ("BV+" or "BVP") uses basic account information and PII to deliver scores, rules, recommended actions, and over 1,100 additional attributes — all without requiring your customers to log in.

Provide basic customer PII (name, address, phone, email) and their account and routing number. In only a moment, receive back confirmation of ownership, account stability, scores, recommended actions, and over 1,100 attributes.

Is this the right product for my business?

ValidiFI's REST API contains 3 INSIGHTS products:

BankQUALIFY - Use basic PII and account/routing number to quickly identify the lead quality.
BankVERIFY+ - Use basic PII and account/routing number for deep insights and recommended actions.
BankLOGIN+ - Use credentialed account and transaction information to uncover thousands of attributes and recommended actions.

All three INSIGHTS products can be used through the ValidiFI API.

INSIGHTS products comparison

You may consider using BankQUALIFY to catch the most blatant issues before running BankVERIFY+. You may also consider waterfalling some concerning leads from BankVERIFY+ into a bank login to gain transaction data and then into BankLOGIN+ for thousands of attributes and deep understanding of those transactions.

BankVERIFY+ can be called through API or automatically from the CONNECT interface.

Integration Overview

The test environment is a sandbox that enables you to interact with and integrate ValidiFI products without the need for real customer or account information. The test environment has its own web portal and its own subdomain for API calls.

Integrate BankVERIFY+

This section is the technical guide to integrating BankVERIFY+, and is addressed to software developers. It contains details about the request and response formats, error codes, and suggestions for your integration.

Development times to integrate an INSIGHTS API will vary and there is a lot to cover. Continue following this guide, and we will walk through the process together.

Integration Paths

BankVERIFY+ can be integrated with direct API call or through ValidiFI's CONNECT Interface.

Which integration path is right for your business?

Direct API

Direct API integration is a great option if you already have (or will have) a user interface to safely collect your customers' account and routing number. To pursue this integration, your team will need familiarity with RESTful APIs and other HTTP concepts.

CONNECT Interface

Use our front-end widget to allow your customer to log into or provide details about their bank account. After your customer provides their banking details, BankLOGIN+ or BankVERIFY+ results are automatically calculated.

Understanding BankVERIFY+ Results

So your customer information has been processed and you have the INSIGHTS results! What are they?

This section is addressed to operations agents, data engineers, and anyone who wants to consume the information provided by BankVERIFY+.

Key Indicators

Along with the hundreds of distinct attributes, BankVERIFY+ contains several aggregates to simplify decisions and categorize results. These values are calculated using the generated attributes.

BankVERIFY+ Score

Location: bvpAccountAnalyticsResult.score

A measure of bank account risk on a scale of 100-300 (with 300 being low risk) utilizing the BankVERIFY+ attributes.

The score is accompanied by a set of three reason codes, which provide an understanding of why the score was not a perfect 300.

Potential reason codes include:

stability of bank account transactions
stability of personally identifiable information
stability of amount requested or presented
amount of bank transaction history
recency or volume of bank transaction history
time between or recency of bank presentments
stability of bank account presented
velocity of transaction payment history

Data dictionary

Our data network identifies how often a bank account has been presented for payment and analyzes the bank/payment behavior to better predict financial outcomes.

ValidiFI's proprietary database of linkages between accounts and PII elements results in a set of verification and payment behavior attributes that can be used to identify risk, fraud, and ability to afford payment(s) for underwriting / onboarding of bank accounts.
